Microdosing 101

Psilocybin aka "Magic Mushrooms"
Scientific research lacks evidence on the efficacy of microdosing psilocybin, but given the state of the world and the mental health crisis that appears to only be growing with time, people are turning away from standards of treatment and reaching for psychedelic substances. Even though the golden standard of research, a randomized double blind placebo controlled trial, has not been conducted to prove the benefits of microdosing psilocybin, survey studies report that people who microdose with intention report a decrease in symptoms of depression and stress, along with an increase in creativity, wellbeing and mindfulness.

Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD)
Clinical trials are shedding light on the therapeutic benefits of microdosing LSD for those that have an appropriate indication. It is important to know that LSD is one of the two psychedelics most abused and misused. Positive benefits are not as common for the recreational user. This substance must be used wisely with intention to be able to experience potential benefits. Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder (HPPD) , a rare and poorly understood condition where psychedelic effects can last for days, weeks, months or even permanently, can occur after using any psychedelic but is most commonly associated with LSD use. It is extremely rare, but something all potential users should be aware of and educated about.
Protocols and Schedules
James Fadiman is a psychologist and author that has been studying psychedelics since the 60’s. This is the most commonly used schedule that is recommended for all beginners. The protocol is one day of microdosing followed by two days of rest - one day is to notice any lingering effects of the microdose, and the second day as a day to reflect. Then repeat.
The ‘Every Other Day’ Microdosing Protocol was developed by James Fadiman and The Microdosing Institute. Proven to be more beneficial for those that microdose for medical purposes to help ease the symptoms of their condition especially for depression, anxiety, ADHD, ADD, Migraines and Cluster Headaches.
The "‘Two Fixed Days a Week’ Microdosing Protocol was developed as a challenge to Fadiman’s original protocol for those that may benefit from a fixed schedule where you choose two fixed days a week to Microdose that works best for your schedule. In the example above: the fixed days are Sunday and Wednesday.
Paul Stamet is an American Mycologist that found that by ‘stacking’ multiple substances with his suggested combination of ingredients can lead to positive and lasting effects of the behavior and neuroplasticity (growth of brain cells).
In this protocol you combine a Psilocybin Microdose with Lion’s Mane and Flushing Niacin containing Vitamin B3. The stacking schedule is 4 days on followed by three days off. On your off days, you continue to take the Lion’s Mane powder and extract.
Here’s Paul Stamet’s Recommended Doses:
A psilocybin Microdose:
0.5-2grams per Microdose day
Lion’s Mane Powder:
2-4 grams per day
Lion’s Mane Extract:
10-30 drops (10 drops =850mg) per day
Flushing Niacin with Vitamin B3:
50mg-200mg per a microdose day
Intuitive Microdosing is another option for the experienced microdoser where one chooses to microdose when they intuitively feel they should and takes periods of rest in the same fashion. This schedule should only be used after exploring the other schedules thoroughly.
