Integrative Therapies to Reconnect with Our Essential Core

Plant Medicine reflects the interconnected symphonies between people and our sacred planetary consciousness.

Benefits of Plant Medicines and Psychedelics

Research in Psychedelic Neuroscience informs us that therapeutic psychedelic use can lead to:

  • Greater connectivity between different parts of the brain that usually do not communicate with one another.

  • A decrease in functions that happen within the Default Mode Network (aka. The everyday autopilot).

  • Increased neuroplasticity of the brain, allowing fixed structures of the synapses to become more malleable and changeable.

***The information for the substances below was gathered from a number of credible resources and organizations including MAPS, The Little Book of Psychedelic Substances, and Psychedelic Support.

  • Psilocybin aka Magic Mushrooms

A classic psychedelic that has been used by Indigenous cultures for thousands of years is now being proven in clinical trials to treat and cure a number of mental health conditions when taken intentionally in a therapeutic setting with appropriate support.

  • Ketamine

A rapid acting dissociative anesthetic commonly used in both human and veterinary medicine now being prescribed legally for off-label use for a growing list of mental health conditions.

  • MDMA aka XTC, "Ecstacy" or Molly

Classified as an entactogen or empathogen, MDMA is an amphetamine derivative that stimulates the release of neurotransmitters and hormones producing mind-altering effects having an positive effect on a number of mental health conditions.

  • Cannabis

This flowering plant has been used for thousands of years by many different cultures across the planet. In high doses, Cannabis can produce psychedelic effects.

  • Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD)

Discovered accidentally by chemist, Albert Hoffman, LSD is a potent consciousness altering substance with significant benefits for people suffering from pain, ADHD symptoms and anxiety from life-threatening illnesses.

  • Ayahuasca

Originating from the Amazon, Ayahuasca is a mixture of at least two types of DMT and monomaine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) containing plants that has been used for centuries for both spiritual and medicinal purposes.

  • Ibogaine

Commonly used in Central and West African traditions, the iboga plant contains the psychoactive alkaloid ibogaine in the roots and bark that is now being clinically proven to reduce withdrawal from opioids and reverse addiction to stimulants, alcohol and nicotine.

  • 5-MEO-DMT

Dating back to the 8th century, this fast acting psychedelic compound was originally used by South American indigenous tribes. 5-MEO-DMT can be extracted from specific plant species or from the venom of the Incilius alvaius toad. A full vaporized dose can produce experiences similar to high dose psilocybin, but with a much shorter duration.

  • Mescaline (Peyote)

American history has sought out to destroy indigenous people and their cultural practices since settling on this land. As psychedelic substances are being discovered for their health benefits, we must look to indigenous elders for guidance. So far, there is an abundance of acceptance from indigenous peoples to share these plants and medicines, but Mescaline requires a level of training, understanding and sacredness needing adequate apprenticeship to grasp. At this time, we recommend that the mescaline containing cactus be left for indigenous spiritual practices.
